Brother Automatic 12 carriage not moving

Got this machine some time ago from a resale shop and the carriage doesn’t move when typing characters and doesn’t stay put when hitting return. See the video below:

Figured it out. This post next to the plastic escapement as stuck with old oil (grease?) in it. I took it apart and put it back together just cleaning it with alcohol, but I bet I could have just brushed/sprayed with mineral spirits and it would have worked just as well.
